Jodha Bai Retreat is an ultra luxurious 5 Star (Australian Tourism Council) and 6 Star, guest rated, private oasis situated in the picturesque Tweed Valley, Northern Rivers NSW. This purposefully built property was inspired, designed and built around the original 450 year old Jodha Bai Palace in Fatepur Sikri, India. Allowing only 2 guest per bungalow, Jodha Bai Retreat is an adults only private sanctuary. We offer guests two (soon 3) opulent Indian inspired suites and depending on which suite, beautiful views of the Gold Coast and surrounding hinterland to Mt Warning, the Cougal Ranges, Tweed Estuary, Tweed River, local farmland and ocean views.The 1250m2 residence and two bungalows has been over 13 years in the making including 7 years building and has over 300 tonnes of hand carved Indian red sandstone, hand made joinery and extensive furnishings meticulously hand picked and imported from India.

Northern Rivers

Our region is the Northern Rivers and defined by the Clarence, Richmond and Tweed Rivers and is home to some 300,000 residents over seven local government areas of north-east NSW. The Bundjalung people (also known as Bunjalung, Badjalang and Bandjalang) are Aboriginal Australians who are the original custodians of the beautiful area. The region is know for its fertile volcanic soils, farming, fine foods and its close proximity to Australia’s premier tourist destination, the Gold Coast. We are known for our awe inspiring natural beauty, majestic waterfalls, rainforests, beautiful coastline and mountain ranges including Mt Warning, the remaining plug of an extinct shield volcano.
